Description

The Endoscopy Unit carries out procedures using fibreoptic cameras for visual diagnosis purposes. This enables the healthcare professional to see structures inside the body.

Endoscopy Unit

The Endoscopy Unit at »Ê¼Ò»ªÈË comprises three admission rooms located with a waiting area which also includes three private changing cubicles. There are three treatment rooms, with the use of a fourth room within the radiology department for procedures requiring x-ray. There is an 11-bedded recovery area with single sex separation and discharge area with two private discharge rooms.

We performed 9,075 procedures in endoscopy last year and our team includes Gastroenterologists, surgeons, nurse Endoscopists, specialist nurses and endoscopy nurses who will perform and assist with your procedure and journey through the endoscopy unit.

We are a training hospital and here in the endoscopy we have training registrars and nurse Endoscopists who may observe and perform your procedure.
